The ILLINOIS Executive MBA is designed especially for experienced professionals, with a schedule structured to minimize disruption to your busy work schedule and personal life. Classes are held Fridays and Saturdays on alternating weekends and are completed in an employer-friendly 20 months. Should your work involve regular travel or if your company transfers you, our convenient schedule and strategic location in downtown Chicago enable you to easily commute to class and stay on track for graduation. With our advanced technology and team-based learning approach, you can bridge the gap between school and work no matter how wide the separation. And, because The Executive MBA is designed to be completed as a joint venture with your employer, we expect you'll be able to apply tools and insights you learn in the classroom to your job from your first day of class.

Unlike most full-time or part-time programs, The Executive MBA is a lock-step, planned curriculum in which students remain a cohort throughout the program, taking all classes together. At ILLINOIS, our team-based learning approach means you and your classmates will learn with and from each other in a supportive class environment. You'll be on a study team with three to five other students of diverse professional backgrounds who will broaden your perspective and push you in new directions.

Executive MBA students have more work experience, including in-depth managerial responsibility, than typical part-time or full-time students. At ILLINOIS, our Executive MBA students must have at least seven years of work experience, but on average have more than thirteen. The extensive work experience of our students is a critical aspect of The Executive MBA, and the valuable comments and contributions from your peers will provide an even deeper understanding of the topics you cover in class.
